Itinerary: |
Day1 - 1145hrs Transfer
to the Tun Mustapha Tower. Lunch is served at the @mosphere
modern dining revolving Restaurant on the 18th floor of
the tower. Take in splendid views of the surrounding land
and sea as you dine.
drive northerly into the Kudat district, through rural
areas of small villages, ricefields and forest
plantations. Visit the cottage industry of gong-making and
bee-keeping. The indigenous Runggus tribe is a longhouse
community; meet them at the Tinanggol Longhouse and the
Bavanggazo Longhouse. Opportunity to watch them working on
their traditional handicraft of beadwork and basketry.
Check in to Bavanggazo Longhouse to experience an evening
of cultural delight and local dinner. (lunch, dinner)
Day2 - 0830hrs
Depart Bavanggazo Longhouse to the north of Sabah. Land’s
end at 7˚N latitude is the Tip of Borneo. Here the South
China Sea meets the Sulu Sea in a spectacular sea and
landscape. Option to swim at the white sands of
Kalampunian beach. Continue to the town of Kudat, the
northernmost Sabah town. Lunch is served in the Kudat
Marina Resort.
Return to Kota Kinabalu
by1600hrs. (breakfast, lunch)
