INTRODUCTION
 

i. History

The Asian Association of Endocrine Surgeons (AsianAES) was established in 1986. It is a regional organization aiming at promoting the exchange of knowledge and advancements in endocrine surgery. The founder of AsianAES was Professor Yoshidie Fujimoto and the first Congress was held in Tokyo, Japan, in 1988.

The Asian Association of Endocrine Surgeons was established to help train specialist endocrine surgeons in both Asian and Western countries.
